Hi, I'm Sam. I fell in love with this industry one night about 26 years ago. We'd moved into a new home with our three boys and were slowly decorating the house - one room at a time. I found myself leafing through material books at every opportunity - always taking samples home and seeing what worked. As I sat on the floor one night, fabric books piled up around me, I found myself wondering if I could do this for a living.

 

I loved feeling the difference between the fabrics and see how they transformed a room - with their ability to create the illusion of space or provide comfort and cosiness, to cool down a room in summer or keep it warm in winter. Once Michael and I started working in the shop, we realised that we loved helping other people get that satisfaction in their own home even more. We knew this was only possible if we had the best quality products. So we started meeting as many suppliers & manufacturers as possible. Understanding what the best quality looked like led to us making long term partnerships with some of Europe's finest makers, and even making many of our blinds ourselves, here in Tenterden.

Together with our team of design consultants, blind makers and fitters (many of which have been with us since those early days), we've built a collection of the best fabrics, materials, components and technology in the modern blinds business - sourced from all over the UK and Europe. And we're always on the look out for what's new, adding to our roster of products every season.
